Recording and Selling Combos

homeless tunes is a one man show, and I didn't start it with riches in mind.  Being a full-time self-employed web developer keeps me busy, well, full time.  I do want to continue pursuing my music recording interests, so I have been thinking of offering deals on recording in exchange for first cuts from sales here.

For example, if a musician wanted to record a 4 song demo with me, I would ask for between $50 and $100 up front (depends on so many factors such as additonal musicians, tracking style, etc.) and then I would keep all revenue from purchases up to $150.  The only catch would be that if sales don't meet the quota by a certain time I would ask for direct payment.

I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about this yet, but I'm guessing at the right $$$ numbers it would be very appealing to some musicians out there.  And as always, I'll do any drum tracking at no additional charge.

If you have any thoughts, or are interested yourself, let me know!
